Milton Jannone '43, who was the first Hamilton football player to earn All-American Honors, died Wednesday, March 19. Jannone was known as "Mercury Milt" and "Hamilton Hurricane" during his 1941 season at Hamilton. With the help of teammates such as Mac Bristol '43, Melzar Richards '42 and Army '42 and Kurt Hoch '44, Jannone led the Continentals to a 5-2 record that year. Jannone still holds Hamilton records for most touchdowns in one game, most rushing touchdowns in one season; and longest run from scrimmage. A memorial service will be held in the Hamilton College Chapel, 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 25. Read more in The Observer-Dispatch
