Hamilton Named as One of Most (Overlooked) Beautiful Campuses

Hamilton’s campus is cited as one of the “Most (Overlooked) Beautiful Campuses” in an article on the Chronicle of Higher Education’s Web site, Chronicle.com (3/15/10). The Chronicle list was in response to a Forbes magazine article, “The World’s Most Beautiful College Campuses.”

Author Scott Carlson nominated Hamilton and wrote: “Maybe I have a thing for hilltop colleges. One drives up a hill from Clinton, N.Y., to get to Hamilton. The campus's historic buildings have an astounding beauty, especially on the misty late-winter day I was there.” A photo of South Hall, with the Chapel in the background, was included.
