The poll also reveals that half of the Muslims suryayed, the vast majority of whom are U.S. citizens, agree that Saddam Hussein should be removed from power in Iraq, while only a third are convinced Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda network are responcible for the Sept. 11 attacks.  Additionally, nearly half believe that the military actions in Afghanistan after Sept. 11 were "not morally justified." The article also reports that two thirds of Muslims regard the FBI's questioning and arrests of Muslims after the attacks to be "an unwarrented abuse of civil liberties."

On a more positive note, almost half of the Muslims surveyed say that their non-Muslim community leaders have spoken out against anti-Muslim abuses as a form of retaliation post Sept. 11. Also, 70 percent reveal that non-Muslims have "personally expressed their support" during this period.
