Hamilton Seniors Lead Continentals to Upset Win Over Cortland

Hamilton seniors Meghan Waters, Kate Harris, Isabel Roberts and Mandy Morison led the way as Hamilton won its regular season finale with a 19-13 upset victory over Cortland. Waters finished with six goals and one assist, Harris with five goals and two assists and Roberts and Morison with three goals and one assist apiece. Continental goaltender Meredith Haimes was outstanding and had a career-high 27 saves. Hamilton won its final five games after an 0-8 start.

The Continentals jumped out to a 4-0 lead and led 10-5 at the end of the first half. The largest lead came after a goal by Roberts put Hamilton ahead 15-7 with 16:10 remaining. Cortland scored the next three, capped by Anne Musso's tally with 12:43 left, bringing the Red Dragons within five at 15-10. Musso led Cortland with four goals and one assist and Catherine Bodisco-Massink and Kristy Schumacher combined to make 15 saves for the Red Dragons.
