Sophomore goaltender Brent Davey returned toaction for Hamilton (7-6-2, 5-3-2 ECAC East) after a long injury, stopping 32of 33 shots as the Continentals went on to defeat ECAC East leading Babson(11-2-2, 7-2-2 ECAC East), 3-1.

Hamilton played very physical throughout and used two first period goals toput the Beavers away. Sophomore Micahel Phalen scored the game-openerfor Hamilton after banging home a loose puck in the goal crease. Then, fourminutes later, junior sniper Rob Rigg threaded a pass from the corner toa streaking Trevor MacArthur, who one-timed the shot past Babsonnetminder Rob MacLean's glove-hand for a short-handed game-winninggoal.

Freshman Eric Bookbinder scored the only goal in the second period,and for the game, for Babson on the power-play, scoring on the third attemptedshot in front of Davey. Junior Zac Sweetland added an insurancegoal early in the third period, tipping in Rigg's crossing pass.

Rob MacLean made 32 saves for Babson, and the Continentals return toaction nex Friday, Jan. 30 against St. Anselm.
