Shortly after the 25th annual weekend gathering of a group of Hamilton
alumni for the Falmouth Road Race in Falmouth, MA, the idea of "Team Trish" was born. "The goals of Team Trish are twofold," said Barb Smalley '83 who helped coordinate the team. "We want to support the Rosts as well as support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission of finding cures and providing much needed patient services."

Peter Rost, Frank Tietje '80, Steve Adolfi '80, Joy Graham '82, Beth
Pfitzenmayer Robitaille '85, Helen McGee Konrad '84, Leslie Allen Maurer '83, Peggy Vessot Lyons '83, Alyson Lee '83, Sibylle Bretz Kinley '83, Craig Lasher '81, John "Stos" Anastos '80, and Brian Shannon '80 will each compete in either the full marathon, a marathon relay leg, or the 5K event.  In addition, many Hamilton alumni are supporting Team Trish via donations and by coming to DC to cheer them on in March.

"My 'family' grew as a result of this experience," said Trish Rost.  "Our
friends were all eager to help out in some way. With friends scattered
around the US, many felt frustrated by their inability to be here with me
during this time of need, but TNT has enabled them to do something to help through either fundraising or training."  If you are interested in joining the Team Trish family and expanding the number of Hamilton Alumni members, you may make a donation at
http://www.teamintraining.org/participant/rost-64128 or by calling Barb
Smalley '83 at 415-625-1124.

Trish Rost will complete her treatment in April and plans to run/walk the 5K in March with her children, Becky and Bradley. The night before the race, Trish will also speak at the Team In Training party before hundreds of participants, participants' friends & families.  Trish states that, "I am
grateful for the support of my Hamilton family and look forward to seeing
them all in DC."
