A high school editorial cartoon competition was held at Hamilton on April 8 in conjunction with "Picture This: A Symposium on Political Cartooning and Illustrating."

The winners, who were announced on Saturday are:  Rachel Bridge, Clinton High School, 1st place ($250); Josh Vandenbosch, Westmoreland High School, 2nd place ($100); and Lauren Liebhaber, Clinton High School, 3rd place ($50). There were more than 50 entries in the competition.

Prizes were provided by the Bob and Kathy Booth, parents of Thomas '06 who organized the cartoon symposium and is the cartoonist for the Spectator.

The winning entries were selected by Jon Broadbooks, editor of the Observer-Dispatch, Hamilton Professor Jay Williams, Tom Booth '06, and professional cartoonists Tony Auth, Rob Rogers and Steve Brodner, all of whom spoke at the symposium.
