The first HILLgroup Discussion Series:  Focus On What We Have Learned About Coordinated Academic Support, is Tuesday, January 28th, at 4pm in the Christian Johnson Browsing Room.

Co-sponsored by the Oral Communication Center (OCC) , this discussion will feature Susan Mason, director of the OCC, as speaker/moderator.   The focus will be what the HILLgroup (Librarians and Instructional Technologists) and the Oral Communication Center have learned in the last two years about coordinated academic support for courses and assignments on this campus.  Faculty who have not benefited from the HILLgroup will have an opportunity to learn what has been accomplished and what is meant by "coordinated academic support".  Faculty who have worked with the HILLgroup and  OCC are invited to come hear our report and share their perspective.

The HILLgroup will be sponsoring monthly discussion groups on topics related to learning, instructional technology, and the use of information resources in college courses.  These informal discussions will generally be at 4 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, in the Browsing Room of Christian Johnson.  Refreshments will be provided.  Future topics include use of special collections materials in classes, the intricacies of poster session assignments, and the services of the Multimedia Presentation Center (MPC).  Faculty and Academic Development Partners are invited to send ideas for discussion topics to HILLgroup@hamilton.edu .

HILLgroup discussions are informal.  Please plan on joining us.

Help us provide an accessible education, offer innovative resources and programs, and foster intellectual exploration.
