Visiting Assistant Professor of Theater Andrew Holland is designing the scenery for a new production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. The opera will have its premiere on Feb. 11 at the Shubert Theater in New Haven, Conn.
The production, directed by Sam Helfrich, is being presented by the Yale School of Music and features a cast of graduate, voice students and the Yale Philharmonia Orchestra under the direction of Giuseppe Grazioli. Students in Holland's Set Design and Scene Painting classes will travel to New Haven this week to see a dress rehearsal of Don Giovanni and tour the historic Shubert Theater.
