Viva Horowitz

Assistant Professor of Physics Viva R. Horowitz is performing research this summer at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, where she has been appointed as a courtesy research assistant professor.

Horowitz is studying quantum emitters in collaboration with the lab of Benjamín J. Alemán. These quantum emitters give off one photon at a time. A photon is the smallest unit of light.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
