As a consequence of an internship experience, recent graduate Keri Paciencia, from Buffalo, NY, learned that her "original career choice was not the best one." While working in the newsroom of a Buffalo television studio, Keri realized that a career in television what not what she had expected. So, working with Hamilton's Career Center, she explored other options.
Keri's second internship involved writing press releases as part of a corporate communication department, and her experience there was much more positive. The corporate communications job helped her to understand her unique abilities, and her career options were much clearer as a result of sampling several careers through her internships.
Keri now works in Boston with a public relations firm.
