Maurice Isserman
Maurice Isserman, the James L. Ferguson Professor of History, presented a lecture titled "The History, Development and Future of the American Left" at Shanghai Normal University on Monday, Oct. 13. During his visit to Shanghai he also met with the head of the Institute of American Studies at Fudan University. 

On Wednesday, Oct. 15, he presented a lecture at Suzhou University titled "American Communism and Soviet Espionage: New Evidence and New Interpretations." (The university is located in Suzhou, China.)

At Beijing University (Beida), Isserman presented "The History, Development and Future of the American Left," on Monday, Oct. 20. He participated in a discussion with scholars at the Chinese Association of Social Science's Institute of World History on U.S. history teaching and research in the United States and China. At the Academy of Marxism, also located in Beijing, he presented another lecture on the American Left on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
