Publius Virgilius Rogers Professor of American History Maurice Isserman published a review of James T. Patterson’s The Eve of Destruction: How 1965 Transformed America (Basic books, 2012) in the Law and History Review from Cambridge Journals.
According to the publisher, Patterson’s book “traces the events of this transformative year, showing how they dramatically reshaped the nation and reset the course of American life.”
Isserman said in the review, “Patterson’s brisk and engrossing narrative reminds the reader that 1965 was certainly a year crowded with memorable events.”
