The Ithaca Bombers held off a strong surging Hamilton(2-4) Women's Lacrosse team for the 11-10 victory.
The Bombers lead at half, 8-6 on hat tricks from Jenna Gruben andAllison Doyle. With 24:06 left on the clock, Ithaca had seized controlof the game with two early second half goals.
The never say die Continentals stormed back with solid defense and greatgoaltending from senior Meredith Haimes, 18 saves. Using four differentplayers, the Continentals would score the next four goals to tie the game with3:45 left.
The Continentals were unable to gain control of the ball and with 1:15 left inregulation, Gruben fired a shot over the shoulder of Haimes for the victory.First year Sarah Gloo netted three goals for the Continentals whileclassmate Adrien Moseley added two goals and an assist.
