Janack Gives Keynote, Co-Edits Special Issue of Contemporary Pragmatism
Marianne Janack, the John Stewart Kennedy Professor of Philosophy and director of the Levitt Public Affairs Center, was the keynote speaker for a summer workshop at the Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel, Germany. The workshop, organized by graduate students at the university and attended by other graduate students in a variety of fields from 16 different countries, culminated with Janack's talk titled "The Rhetoric of Rocks and Realism."
The latest edition of Contemporary Pragmatism consists of a selection of papers from the 2016 Richard Rorty Society Conference, which was held at Hamilton in September 2016. Janack co-edited the special edition and wrote the introduction with Susan Dieleman of the University of Saskatchewan. The volume is published on-line.
