Hong Gang Jin, the William R. Kenan Professor of East Asian Languages and Literatures, gave a series of invited graduate seminars in Taiwan from March 18-22.
She presented "Linguistic Complexity and its Effects on Incidental Learning" at Taiwan Normal University; "10 Methodological Principles for Modern Language Teaching" at Chengkong University in Tainan; "Backward Curricular Design and Task-based Language Teaching in CFL" at Taiwan National University; and a workshop for Chinese teachers of the Association of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language in Taiwan on "TBLT and Performance Assessment: Design, Implementation, and Assessment."
