
Hong Gang Jin, the William R. Kenan Professor of East Asian Languages and Literature, presented two papers at the annual American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Convention in Orlando on Nov. 19-23.
She gave a paper titled "Principles and Procedures of Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) in Chinese as a Foreign Language" on a panel about teaching methodology and implementation. Jin also presented the paper "A new teacher training model: ACC-CLASS Summer Chinese Language Teachers Institute" on Teacher Training Models for Teachers of K-12, a panel sponsored by Chinese Language Association for
Secondary Schools.
