Hancock Estabrook, a well established and esteemed law firm in Upstate New York, was honored to have thirteen attorneys selected for this prestigious list. While the firm’s attorneys cover a variety of practices and legal topics, the focus lies in providing personal attention to their clients. With over 125 years of experience in the legal field, Hancock Estabrook has consistently maintained and provided an exceptional standard of legal assistance to its clients.

Mr. Murad is a partner at the Firm and concentrates his practice on health care defense, commercial disputes and environmental litigation. Mr. Murad has tried cases for more than 30 years in state and federal courts and has also been a mediator and arbitrator for more than 10 years. Along with his distinguished career as a partner at the Firm, he has served as the Chair of the Litigation Department and as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for the past seven years and was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2005. He has also been a Trustee of the State of New York. His community service has included acting as Chairman of the local chapter of the American Red Cross. He currently serves on the Board of the Upstate Medical University Foundation.  Mr. Murad majored in government and history at Hamilton. 

Ms. Alsante focuses her practice on estate planning, trusts, planning for the elderly and disabled, and estate and trust administration. Aside from her success as a partner at the Firm, Ms. Alsante is a frequent lecturer in New York state on issues pertaining to her area of practice. She played a critical role in establishing the Loretto Foundation Community Trust, a fund dedicated to assisting elderly and disabled individuals in the community. She is actively engaged in a number of associations and committees committed to helping the elderly and disabled. Ms. Alsante has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for the past eight years as well as being selected as one of the Top 25 Upstate New York Super Lawyers in 2011 and 2013. Ms. Alsante was a philosophy major while at Hamilton.
