Courtney Gibbons - Branden Stone

Associate Professor of Mathematics Courtney Gibbons, Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics Branden Stone, and Robert Huben ’15 recently published a paper, “Recursive strategy for decomposing Betti tables of complete intersections,” in International Journal of Algebra and Computation.

In addition, Gibbons spoke about algebra and her ongoing research in two venues this semester. In September, she spoke at the AMS Sectional Meeting at the University of Wisconsin-Madison about divisor sequences in Krull monoids (joint work with collaborators Nick Baeth and Janet Striuli). In October, she spoke at Denison University’s math colloquium about applied algebra at the invitation of Dr. Sarah Wolff.
