Paintings by Professor of Art Katharine Kuharic will be included in an exhibition at New York’s 1969 Gallery. Stonewall 50/50 opens Friday, June 21, with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Curated by former director of the Contemporary Art Museum Houston Bill Arning, the show runs through July 28.

According to a press release for the exhibition, “Stonewall 50/50 is an appreciation of the dual nature of the 2019’s nationwide celebration of the half century mark after a street riot occurred in Greenwich Village, [an event] that is widely considered the origin moment for gay and lesbian rights in the USA.”

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
