Associate Professor of History Shoshana Keller will serve on the steering committee for an international teaching and research resource project developed by the Social Science Research Council. The two-year project, titled "Histories of Central Asia," received funding from the Department of Education and should start work in the fall.  The project will create an on-line "teaching resource tool" on comparative histories of Central Asia.

The three members of the steering committee will coordinate the contributions of about 150 scholars around the world to collect resources for university teachers who wish to incorporate Central Asian material into their classes.  The steering committee will also create historiographic and bibliographic tools to help teachers in Russian, Middle Eastern and Asian Studies specialties, as well as in world history. Each of the steering committee members will also write an individual course unit.

Help us provide an accessible education, offer innovative resources and programs, and foster intellectual exploration.
