Philip Klinkner

Philip Klinkner, the James S. Sherman Professor of Government, presented “Baskets of Deplorables? Understanding Support for Donald Trump” at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College on Sept. 28. He provided insight on this year’s presidential campaign based on his timely research on the role of racial resentment among Trump supporters.

Klinkner’s talk was part of the Roosevelt House Faculty Seminar series “Researching the Roots of Rage: Resurgent Racism in the U.S. Today.”

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
