James S. Sherman Professor of Government Philip Klinkner was recently featured in an article released by the Associated Press. The article discusses an upcoming documentary, directed by Marco Williams, about the history of streets named after civil rights leaders, specifically, Martin Luther King, Jr.
The article states: "Philip A. Klinkner, a professor of government at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., said it is a "tragic irony" that while King 'fought and died for a racially integrated America, the streets that are now named for him reflect the continuing racial segregation of American life.'"
