Philip Klinkner, James S. Sherman Associate Professor of Government and Associate Dean of Students, has been interviewed and quoted by several media outlets recently about Super Tuesday and future primary elections and caucuses. On Feb. 4, Klinkner was quoted by The Los Angeles Times in an article titled "New Jersey finds itself an unlikely political battleground" in which he described the state of New Jersey as "a sort of a bellwether: It's perceived to be a state that Hillary Clinton should be winning by a landslide, and the fact that her lead is narrowing reflects what's going on nationally." His comments were later quoted online in a New York Times political blog.
Later in the week Klinkner was interviewed by WKTV, the local NBC affiliate, on the allocation of delegates within a state and by Utica's news/talk radio station WIBX about what might unfold after Super Tuesday in the Democratic and Republican races. He was also interviewed by KPSI, a news/talk radio station inPalm Springs, Calif., about Super Tuesday.
