Hamilton rising senior Eric Kuhn '09, who spent the academic year at the London School of Economics, has recently written several articles for The Huffington Post. In his latest, "Political-Ish Summer Reads," Kuhn selected six top political fiction books and interviewed the authors, who range from the former executive director of the Christian Coalition to the author of the new Indiana Jones novel. The books included Dark Horse by Ralph Reed, The Last Patriot by Brad Thor, The Last Oracle by James Rollins, Executive Privilege by Phillip Margolin, Shadow of Power by Steve Martini and Shadow Command by Dale Brown.
Kuhn also arranged to trail a Member of Parliament for a day and wrote about his experiences with Jonathan Djanogly, an outspoken member of the Conservative Party, in a piece titled "In Parliament with Jonathan Djanogly." In a single day, Kuhn listened to Djanogly's discussions and negotiations involving the treatment of temporary workers, the housing mortgage debacle, funding for police and the U.S. presidential campaign, among other topics. The article also appeared on Yahoo and UWire.
