
Anne E. Lacsamana, assistant professor of women's studies, was invited by the NYC branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to present her research on the Philippines women's movement at their annual Educational Foundation tea and reception March 22.
Lacsamana, a 2008-2009 recipient of an AAUW Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, presented a talk based on her manuscript Revolutionizing Feminism: The Philippine Women's Movement in the Age of Terror.
Established in 1881, the AAUW has been awarding fellowships since 1888, making it one of the oldest foundations to support women in higher education.
