I wish I had exciting stories to tell for this week's update, but since the weather was so dreary, I decided to catch up on sleep. When I wasn't sleeping, I was spending time with my parents in Brooklyn or working at my internship. As the week progressed, I realized I was spending more time at home than in my penthouse apartment, mostly because I was spoiled with a home cooked meal each night. It turns out that good food is a great ploy for parents to keep their starving college kids at home, even if the commute to work the next day is over an hour. Other than that, I have been working on my final paper a little early because I would like to enjoy some time on campus, especially during the amazing celebration called 'Senior Day.' After several changes in my project, I have decided to produce a video documentary of the race-class debate in New York City. If all goes well, my video will include footage of New York City life and a few interviews from fellow New Yorkers who have opinions on the role race plays in association with social status.
