Senior Research Librarian for Academic Initiatives & Experiential Learning Alexandra Wohnsen was recently accepted as one of 10 mid-career librarians for the 2026 Oberlin Group LEAP Leadership program.
The Leadership Empowerment and Acceleration Program (LEAP), is presented by B.Cognition Labs, which describes it as a 12-week online program “that provides a unique development opportunity for established mid-career leaders who wish to thrive better in complex and disruptive environments.”
The program “encourages participants to approach leadership as a set of contextual behaviors that empowers groups, instead of an expression of individual technical competence,” according to the B.Cognition Labs website.
Wohnsen said LEAP focuses on developing leadership competencies using active learning, experimentation, and reflection to guide growth. Other participating institutions include Amherst, Davidson, Macalester, Occidental, Smith, and Vassar.
