Artist Alyson Shotz, drummer and music educator Nasheet Waits, and animator Todd Akita will present a lecture on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 4:15 p.m., in the Wellin Museum Overlook. They will discuss the process of creating “The Bedroom: Time Lapse,” an animated film featured in the Wellin’s current exhibition “Alyson Shotz: Force of Nature.”

Shotz received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle. In 2012, Shotz was the Sterling Visiting Professor in the Department of Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford University. Shotz’s recent solo exhibitions include Alyson Shotz: Fluid State (Indianapolis Museum of Art) and Alyson Shotz: Ecliptic (Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C.).
