Assistant Professor of Government Charlotte Lee published a review of Politics and Society in Contemporary China in the January issue of The China Journal.
Lee called the book, written by Elizabeth Freund Larus, “a fine introduction to major topics and issues in the study of China's recent past, present and possible futures.” She said it “offers both chronological descriptions of critical moments in Chinese history and thematic chapters organized around China's political, economic, social, military and global development.”
