Leeann Brigham '09, a Senior Fellow at Hamilton, has been named to the All-USA College Academic Honorable Mention Team by USA Today. USA Today honors 19 Honorable Mention Team members for outstanding intellectual achievement and leadership. Judges considered grades, leadership, activities, and, most importantly, how students extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom.

Brigham's Senior Fellowship project is "Free Radical Involvement in Cognitive Function and Parvalbumin Expression in an MK-801 Model of Schizophrenia." She has been working with Douglas Weldon, Stone Professor of Psychology and director of the Neuroscience Program.

At Hamilton, Brigham has been a Writing Center Tutor since her sophomore year; is a TA for the Psychology Department; the president of Psi Chi, the national psychology honors society; and is an active member of the Women's Rugby team.

Although there is no cash award associated with the Honorable Mention Team, members and schools will be published in USA Today as well as USATODAY.com on April 29, 2009.

Help us provide an accessible education, offer innovative resources and programs, and foster intellectual exploration.
