Singer/songwriter/painter/activist Magdalen Hsu-Li will perform "Smashing the Ceiling," on Monday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. in the Fillius Events Barn. This is a one-hour concert featuring Hsu-Li and her drummer on vocals, guitar, piano, drums and percussion. Dialogue about identity, racism, and bisexual, Asian-American and feminist issues is interspersed between songs and is implicit in many song themes and lyrics. This concert is free and open to the public. Hsu-Li will also have CDs available for sale.
