
Associate Professor of Government Robert Martin was an invited presenter at the American Democracy Forum Conference held May 25, at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He presented a paper titled “Reigning in Democracy: James Madison from the National Gazette Essays to the Virginia Report.”
According to the American Democracy Forum website, the organization “promotes the study of the principles of the American founding and the continued place of those principles in the practice of democracy in the United States.” The theme of this year’s conference was “Popular Sovereignty and American Democracy.”
