Mason Ashe '85 was recently named adjunct professor in the DeVos Sport Business Management Graduate Program at the University of Central Florida in the College of Business Administration. He will teach sports law.

Ashe, one of the top sports and entertainment attorneys in the country, has a strong link to UCF, in that he represents Minnesota Vikings Pro-Bowl quarterback and former UCF star Daunte Culpepper. Ashe is the founder and president of Ashe Sports and Entertainment Consulting, Inc. For 15 years he has negotiated multi-year team marketing endorsement contracts for some the top players in the National Football League, National Basketball Association,and Women's National Basketball Association. Ashe has received numerous awards and was recently listed among the 101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports by Sports Illustrated.

Before founding his own company, Ashe was a partner and co-founder of Strickland and Ashe Management between 1997 and 2004. He was vice president of Team Sports at IMG, the world's largest sports management company, between 1993 and 1997.

The DeVos Sport Business Management Graduate Program teaches students the business skills necessary to work in the modern day sports world, while also helping them understand that sports have the power to change society.
