Maurice “Mo” Owen-Michaane ’03 was recently appointed to Pelham Manor’s Zoning Board of Appeals. The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews all uses of lands and buildings (residential and commercial) within the Village of Pelham Manor that do not conform to the existing zoning code. Owen-Michaane and his colleagues meet monthly to review all such issues and enforce the zoning code for Pelham.

Owen-Michaane operates his own real estate firm, Capital Realty NY, based in NYC. Previously, Owen-Michaane was associated with Goldman Sachs in the Debt Capital Markets and Investment Banking groups.
Prior to moving to Pelham, Owen-Michaane was chair of the Manhattan Community Board 12 Business Development Committee and a member of the NYPD’s 34th Precinct Community Council. Before joining Pelham’s Zoning Board of Appeals, Owen-Michaane served on the Site-Based Council and PTA at Siwanoy School.
After graduating from Hamilton, Maurice graduated from the Zicklin School of Business Honors MBA Program at Baruch College with an M.B.A. in finance. Owen-Michaane has served as Alumni Class President for the Class of 2003 since graduating. He will be serving again as Reunion Class Chair for the class’ upcoming 15th Reunion.
