John McEnroe, the John and Anne Fischer Professor of Fine Art, and his colleague Matt Buell of Trent University, recently presented two papers based on their excavations in the Bronze Age town of Gournia in Crete.

On  Jan. 5 they spoke on "Community Building/Building Community at Gournia" at an international workshop in Toronto on new approaches to ancient urbanism. On Jan. 11 they presented "Where Was the Protopalatial Palace at Gournia?" at the annual meeting of the Archaeological Institute of America in New Orleans.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
