Hamilton College placed 13th of 24 teams at Middlebury College's 28th Duke Nelson Invitational held at Ralph Myhre Golf Course on Sept. 17 and 18.

Results

Hamilton's team score was 629 for the tournament. The Continentals' four best scores added up to 315 on Saturday, and the team improved by one shot to 314 on Sunday. Nationally ranked No. 19 Skidmore College captured the team title by 19 strokes with a total of 588. Williams College was second at 607 and Rensselaer took third place at 608.

Hamilton  All-American Greg Scott '14 was playing on his home course and it showed. The Vermont native tied for 10th place out of 118 golfers with a pair of 75s, and finished at 150 on the 6,379-yard layout that plays to a par of 71. The tournament medalist shot even par 142 for the 36 holes.

Brandon De Graff '14 tied for 39th place with a two-day total of 156. De Graff carded an 80 on the first day, but rebounded with a 76 on Sunday. Mac Pivirotto '15 was one stroke back in a tie for 46th place at 157. Pivirotto fired a 78 on Saturday and added a 79 on the final day.

The Continentals compete in the Williams Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, in the final tuneup before the NESCAC championship qualifier.
