Hamilton’s men’s and women’s ice hockey teams both scored victories in NESCAC quarterfinal games at home on Saturday and advance to championship semifinals next weekend.

In the men’s game, defenseman Bennett Morrison '20 scored two goals and the Continentals cruised to a 5-1 win over the Bowdoin College Polar Bears at Russell Sage Rink.

The third-seeded Continentals (12-9-4 overall) advance to the championship semifinals and a date with second-seeded Trinity College at Williams College on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. Hamilton is in the conference semifinals for the third time in four years. The Continentals and Trinity met in a 2019 semifinal and the Bantams pulled out a 2-1 win in overtime.

In a thrilling women’s game, Michaela Giuttari '20 scored with 2.8 seconds left in the third period and lifted the Continentals to a 4-3 victory against the Williams College Ephs on Saturday afternoon at Sage Rink.

The Continentals (16-8-1 overall), who are the fourth seed for the NESCAC championship, will travel to Middlebury College to play the top-seeded Panthers in a NESCAC semifinal at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7.
