Claire Mouflard, assistant professor of French and Francophone studies, contributed to the American Association of Teachers of French's new volume: "La France contemporaine: unité et diversités, polarisations et solidarités".
In her chapter titled "La communauté LGBT+ après le mariage pour tous: quels défis et enjeux identitaires?", Mouflard exposes the challenges that remain for the LGBTQ community in France after the law on marriage equality was enacted in 2013. In addition, Mouflard reviews the history of lesbian, gay, and trans activism in both France and the United States, from the "AIDS years" to today.
