The work of Associate Professor of Art Rebecca Murtaugh will be on display in several exhibitions this fall.
“Constructed Contemplations” opened Sept. 5 at the Earlville Opera House in Earlville, N.Y. A reception is planned for Saturday, Sept. 12, from 6-7:30 p.m. The show closes on Oct. 31.
Murtaugh’s work is also featured in “Color as Form - Form as Color” at the c2c project space in San Francisco. The show opens with a reception on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 6-9 p.m., and continues through Oct. 18.
According to the exhibition description, the artists chosen for this show “were selected based on the tendency of their practice to either use color as a means to indicate form within their work, or to use the structure of the work as a way to define evidence of color.”
“Perspective: A Look at Contemporary Painting and Drawing” will be on display at Hillyer Art Space Oct. 2-31. An opening reception will be held at the Washington, D.C., gallery on Friday, Oct. 2, from 6 - 9 p.m.
