The Music at Hamilton Artists Series presents VladimirPritsker, violin and Steven Heyman, piano on Friday,February 13th at 8:00 pm at Wellin Hall, Schambach Centerfor Music and the Performing Arts. The evening's program willinclude works by Beethoven, Bartok, Saint-Saens, Bermel and Debussy.

Steven Heyman received is Bachelor, Master of Music and ProfessionalStudies degree from the Juilliard School as a scholarship student of AdeleMarcus. Further studies were continued at the Hochschule fur Musik unddarstellende Kunst in Wien as a student of Hans Graf. He has performed solorecitals, chamber music concerts, and concerto appearances throughout theUnited States, Canada and Europe. He has appeared in London, Paris, Munich,Vienna, Salzburg, Oslo, Montreal, Quebec, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Milwaukee,Philadelphia and New York among others. In New York, he has performed atLincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and as an invited artist for a Juilliardmemorial tribute to the late Miss Marcus.

Mr. Heyman has won top prizes in over a dozen national and internationalcompetitions. These include the Beethoven Competition in Vienna, the GinaBachauer Competition in Salt Lake City and the Palm Beach InvitationalCompetition in Palm Beach. As a result of winning the Juilliard School'sconcerto competition, he appeared with the Juilliard Orchestra in LincolnCenter. He has served on the faculty of Syracuse University for ten yearswhere in 1994, he received the School of Music's Most Outstanding FacultyMember award. He has also serves on the faculty of Hamilton College.
