Tu le diras à ma mère by Professor of French Joseph Mwantuali was published in Paris last week by Présence Africaine, a prestigious publishing house in the francophone African world. The book is the French version of Mwantuali’s Tell This to My Mother, published in the United States in 2013 by Strategic Book Publishing.
The novel is based the war that since 1996 has devastated the Democratic Republic of Congo, where rape is used as a weapon of war on women and children.
Mwantuali said he is “humbled to be a part of Présence Africaine, whose author list includes the likes of Aimé Césaire and Léopold Senghor.”
