Professor of Comparative Literature Nancy Sorkin Rabinowitz and Dr. Fiona McHardy (University of Roehampton) jointly facilitated a roundtable discussion at the meetings of the Society for Classical Studies (formerly the APA) in New Orleans, Jan. 8-11.
The topic, "How Far Can Outreach Go, and Who does it Benefit?," brought together people working in prisons, with sex workers, and with veterans in the U.S., as well as providing information about current “Communicating Ancient Greece and Rome” projects in the UK, including projects involving women victims of abuse, military wives and children who might be at risk of gang activity.
