Nassau Community College has named Thomas Dolan ’78 as its interim president to replace acting president Kenneth Saunders. Dolan joins NCC from the Great Neck Public School District, where he served as superintendent.

This recent appointment is the latest in Dolan’s more than 30-year career in educational administration. He has served in many roles at various schools and school districts in the Long Island, NY area, including as superintendent of the Franklin Square Elementary School District and as principal of the Cold Spring Harbor Junior-Senior High School.

As a Hamilton student, Dolan studied History and Psychology, and then went on to complete his M.S. in Social Studies Education from Queens College, as well as his Ed.D. from Hofstra University.

The $400 million campaign marked the most ambitious fundraising initiative in the College's history.
