
Angel David Nieves, associate professor of Africana Studies, received national recognition at the 2009 Nebraska Digital Workshop on Oct. 3 for his work on Soweto ’76: A Living Digital Archive, from The Center for Digital Research in the Humanities (CDRH) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Nieves was a Nebraska Digital Workshop Finalist and was recognized for “significance, technical innovation, theoretical and methodological sophistication, and creativity of approach” in his work. Under the auspices of the CDRH faculty and staff, the Nebraska Digital Workshop endeavors to foster a network of digital scholars who come together across disciplinary boundaries to advance humanities computing research and scholarship.
