Hamilton College will host its ninth annualIntercollegiate Reading Series on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. andSunday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. and noon. Both sessions, which are free andopen to the general public, will be held in the Fillius Events Barn.

Students from visiting colleges, as well as Hamilton students, will readoriginal fiction during the sessions. Participating colleges include: ColbyCollege, Columbia University, Dartmouth University, Skidmore College, St.Lawrence University and Syracuse University.

In addition, noted author and 1982 Hamilton alumnus Peter Cameron will readhis fiction at 8:30 p.m. Saturday evening and answer questions at a receptionfollowing the reading. Cameron, an award-winning author who resides in NewYork City, has written three novels and two volumes of short stories. His mostrecent novel is The Weekend.

Following the final reading on Sunday, there will be an "open mike" sessionfor fiction writers and poets at Cafe Opus in McEwen Hall. For moreinformation, contact Lucy Ferriss in the Creative Writing Department at859-4462.
