
Visiting Assistant Professor of Government Omobolaji Olarinmoye presented a paper titled “China in Africa” to the United Nations Association of Upper Mohawk Valley on March 21 in Utica, N.Y. His presentation was part of the association’s “Great Decision Series.”
Olarinmoye addressed the drivers of China’s interests in Africa. He also discussed the political, economic and social consequences of China’s presence in Africa for African states and for Africa's traditional partners, the European Union and the United States.
