The Ohio State University Press series ("Theory and Interpretation of Narrative") that Professor of Comparative Literature and chair of the Comparative Literature Deapartment Peter J. Rabinowitz co-edits with James Phelan has just published its 24th volume: Phelan's Experiencing Fiction: Judgments, Progressions, and the Rhetorical Theory of Narrative. The latest in a series of books in which Phelan has been developing a rhetorical narrative theory, Experiencing Fiction offers, among other things, a detailed and carefully wrought exploration of the deep connection between form and ethics in narrative, with special attention to way our experience of narrative is tied to our changing judgments in the course of our reading. A description of the book, as well as the rest of the series, can be found at http://www.ohiostatepress.org/Books/Series%20Pages/tin.htm
