James L. Ferguson Professor of Music Samuel Pellman recently presented his composition "The Home Planet," with video by Lauren Koss '00, at the Sound+Environment conference hosted by the University of Hull in the UK.
The four-day conference brought together artists and scientists to explore the ways that sound can deepen our understanding of natural and constructed environments. "The Home Planet" is comprised of sounds from the environs of Clinton along with imagery from throughout the east coast of the U.S. A version of the piece can be heard and seen online here.
