Peter Kazickas ’15 created the Twist App, a new social app that is so far exclusively available in the Hamptons. It is a dating app that gives people the opportunity to match up with other people who will be attending the same event as them, in hopes to increase the chances for matches to meet up.
In a recent interview with Sydney A. Braat of the Hampton's official website, Kazickas explained, “Twist tells you different venues and events that are happening out in the Hamptons."
When Kazickas first came up with the idea of this app, he entered it into Hamilton College’s fifth annual Pitch Competition, where he won first place. Once he graduated from Hamilton, Kazickas went to Silicon Valley for the Founder Institute's Accelerator Program, where he continued to work on the app and had the opportunity to receive feedback and advice from a few of the country's most successful tech and start-up experts.
At Hamilton, Kazickas majored in world politics. He was a member of the men’s basketball team as well as the fraternity, Alpha Delta Phi. In addition, he was also involved with WHCL Hamilton College Radio.
